The Cooper & Hunter 4.0 Ton Multi-Position Air Handler (CH-UC48AHU) is a heavy-duty indoor unit built for demanding residential and commercial cooling applications. Part of the Top Discharge Split System lineup, it pairs with compatible Cooper & Hunter outdoor condensing units and operates on environmentally responsible R-32 refrigerant.
The unit features a multi-position design supporting 4 installation orientations, accommodating a wide variety of mechanical room layouts. A high-output ECM fan motor delivers robust, energy-efficient airflow at 1,490 CFM, while the inner-grooved copper tubing and hydrophilic fins work together to maximize heat transfer performance across the full coil surface. The fully-insulated cabinet is engineered to achieve 2% or less air leakage, and the advanced internal welding process minimizes the risk of long-term corrosion.
Horizontal and vertical condensate drain pans provide installation flexibility, and the integrated filter rack with toolless door access simplifies routine maintenance. Compatible with all 3rd-party 24V wall thermostats. AHRI and ETL listed.
