The evaporator fan motor is part of the overall refrigeration system, and it pulls air through the coils of the evaporator to remove heat from the circulating air. The evaporator fan motor is also accountable for distributing the cooled air throughout both the freezer and the refrigerator compartments, depending on the model installed.
This airflow cycle is crucial for the refrigerated appliance to work correctly. If for any reason, the evaporator fan motor is inoperative, the temperature in the refrigerated appliance will rise.
